Kit is an unusual "alien" being, to say the least - though she appears to be an anthropomorphic feline of some sort, she's actually much more. Her story is rather long and complicated, but the short version is that she's an immortal shape-shifter who spends her days being randomly sucked through time and space - visiting every when as well as every where. No matter where she goes there's a few things that she keeps on her - particularly in her outfit: Her lucky hat, given to her by her Captain, her Crest which is a source of her abilities, and while you may think her pistols or her laser sword are her trusty weapons it's actually more likely her claws. She can never have them knocked out of her hand in battle, she can never actually lose them, and if worse comes to worse she always has some way of defending herself.

She's also very magically inclined - and not the kind of magic that comes from advanced technology and looks like magic to primitive cultures. She primarily uses her Pyrokinesis (Fire Magic) to get herself out of trouble... or in to trouble sometimes too... which comes from the part of her that's a phoenix. But she's also rather adept with most types of elemental magic from her kitsune parts. She's also telekinetic (can speak from her mind to another's or visa versa) and chronokinetic (time manipulation) but she's also very limited in what she can do. She's not very precise with it, and some times she comes out in a time, or a place, that she wasn't exactly aiming for. Which means she gets into a lot of shenanigans while she waits to try again.

The crest she wears on her hat and belt buckle is something she spent millennia designing herself - it features a DreamCatcher which represents her journey through time and space and alternate timelines and the nothingness of non-existence where she originated. Her journey is a back and forth weaving of tales from many places with many people, and in all of them she tries to be the "bad dream catcher" and make life better for others. There's the crossbones from the jolly roger representing her Piratey ways, the cat's eye featuring a compass for her travels upon a pupil made of galaxies for finding her way in her travels, and the crown of fire reminding her to always be her true royal self. And the feathers... there are three; blue for her current love, purple for her former/lost lover, and the firey yellow-red of her phoenix self, reminding her that no matter what happens she will always rise from the ashes and keep searching.

Kit is brave, and smart, and kind, and caring... she does what she can to help others, even if that's just to ease their pain for a little while. She has a wife whom she hasn't seen in a very long time, and a boyfriend who's travelling with her... the Captain of her ship actually. They have each other's backs, and they get along like two teenagers left unattended some times... but their relationship is nice, and they take good care of their interstellar crew of misfits and weirdos. When they're not robbing the rich and sharing with the poor, cuz they literally only take the minimum they need to keep their crew fed and warm and then give the rest away, they rest up on their home planet... a junkyard they named Cullfield, after a place the Captain used to live when he was a boy. It's not much, but it's all theirs, and they love it.
